Many PAAC parents, when deciding which church to attend, may be pulled toward churches with a large “children’s ministry.” But churches with the most resources for children also tend to be highly conservative and non-progressive. This leaves progressive Christian parents in a bind. Either commit to a conservative church, or attend a progressive church that has a very small children’s ministry, or may not have one at all.In today’s special episode, Liz and David recruit PAAC member and professor Grace Kao to discuss how as parents they’ve approached this issue, the pros and cons of attending a conservative megachurch v. liberal mainline church, what to do about nap time, and how to “build your own” community.
