Not Afraid to Fight: Asian American Women & Reproductive Health (Ep. 32)

As abortion once again heats up as a national issue, NAPAWF executive director and fellow PAACster Sung Yeon Choimorrow joins us to talk about how to have a conversation about abortion with other well meaning Christians, and why the debate about abortion is fundamentally about controlling women’s agency. She also discusses her role as ED of the National Asian Pacific American Women's Forum (“Your life will never be easy again,”), the difficult moral choices it sometimes requires, and the work that NAPAWF did in the case of Purvi Patel. Thank you Sung Yeon for coming on the show! And thank you for listening!

"Anti-abortion legislators cannot hide behind the mantle of 'saving' women of color to advance racist, sexist legislation that impedes the rights of all women." - Sung Yeon Choimorrow
